Jean-François Fournier
Jean-François Fournier joined MSIAC on 4th of November 2024 as the Technical Specialist Officer for Munition Systems.
A former electrical and mechanical engineering officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, JF graduated from the Royal Military College of Canada in 2010 with a degree in electrical engineering. During his military career, he completed the Ammunition Technical Officer (ATO) course in 2014 and a master's in advanced ammunition engineering at RMC in 2017. He held the positions of Explosives Safety Officer at the Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) Valcartier research center, and ATO - Army at the Directorate of Ammunition and Explosives Management and Engineering (DAEME). Upon retirement from the military in 2020, JF returned to DAEME and was later employed as the Senior Qualified Ammunition Technical Authority.
During his employment at DAEME, JF was responsible to conduct and review multiple S3 assessments on various types of munition systems. He was also the Canadian Head of Delegation for SG/A IST and participated to some Custodial Working Groups within SG/B.
