L-181 Comparison of Safety Management Systems – Interim Report

The objective of this work element is to provide a detailed comparison of national (and service) safety management systems (SMS) undertaken over the munitions lifecycle to demonstrate and assure Safety and Suitability for Service (S3). The program of work is split into two phases and will comprise a process review followed by a detailed walk through for some typical munitions. This task requires input from MSIAC nations and only those that wish to contribute will be included in the study.

This interim report covers the first phase of the review and contains information collected by a questionnaire provided to the nations. The report contains a brief analysis of the differences in SMS identified so far.
