L-176 MSIAC Draft Guidance Note on the S3 Assessment of Mitigation devices

The insensitive munitions community has discussed the use of active mitigation technology for munitions but such devices have rarely been applied, which is probably due to safety concerns associated with inadvertent initiation. This paper highlights the issues that must be taken into account when assessing their safety and approving for use.
