L-131 Ed2 Implementing a Sympathetic Reaction Analytical Model in TEMPER: Setting the Stage
August 2007
Frédéric Peugeot (Warhead Technology) , Leslie Nyogeri (DOSG, UK) , Dr Pierre-François Péron (Warhead Technology) The main objective of this document is to provide background and detailed information about sympathetic reaction phenomenology, relevant analytical models, parameters and key issues required to predict the response of a warhead subjected to the detonation of a donor. This work enabled us to propose a set of analytical models which are implemented in TEMPER v2.0 to represent a sympathetic detonation aggression.
In the first part of this document, the phenomenology of a sympathetic reaction is discussed. In the second part, equations characterising the donor stimulus are reported.
