L-092 A Review of IM Technology for Rocket Motors

This paper provides a review of the current state of the art of design technology for reduced vulnerability rocket motors. For practical reasons the scope has been restricted to those technologies that have been subject to significant development and have been assessed in full-scale motor designs. This includes in-service rocket motors as well as those soon to be in-service and any relevant full-scale technology demonstrators. The review provides a snapshot of technologies that are available to rocket motor designers and identifies where current shortfalls exist in meeting the IM goals of STANAG 4439.
